How to Use

2. All statutory public holidays for that year are listed instantly, sorted by date.

How the Dates Are Calculated

Fixed-date holidays (New Year's Day, Independence Movement Day, Children's Day, Memorial Day, Liberation Day, National Foundation Day, Hangul Day, Christmas) fall on the same solar calendar date every year. Lunar-based holidays — Lunar New Year (Seollal, 3 days), Buddha's Birthday, and Chuseok (3 days) — are calculated by converting their fixed lunar calendar date into that year's solar calendar date using the Korean lunar calendar standard.

Common Uses

• Planning vacation days or business schedules around upcoming Korean public holidays.
• Checking when Seollal or Chuseok falls in a given year, since the solar date changes annually.
• Building a calendar or reminder system that needs Korean holiday dates.

Note: this tool does not calculate substitute holidays (대체공휴일), which are granted when a holiday overlaps with a weekend or another holiday under rules that have changed over time.
