Calculation Method
The tool calculates the calendar-day difference between today and the target date: Days = Target Date − Today. A positive number means the date is in the future (a countdown); a negative number means the date has already passed (an "elapsed days" count). The calculation is timezone-aware and uses calendar days, not 24-hour periods.
