Calculation Method
International age (만 나이) increases by one on each birthday: Today's year − Birth year, minus one if this year's birthday has not occurred yet. Korean age (세는 나이) — used informally in everyday Korean conversation prior to a 2023 legal standardization — counts everyone as age 1 at birth and adds one year on January 1st, regardless of birth date: Current year − Birth year + 1.
